If you’re already using AttendanceBot, you know how breezy it makes, the mind numbing chore of doing timesheets. By sending simple messages in Slack (or MS Teams or Google chat), you can avoid having to spend hours at the end of your every pay cycle and just get your accurate timesheet from AttendanceBot.

We are now taking one things further. We are introducing lunch reminders that let you remind your team members for taking a lunch, either at a specific time every working day or after a few hours from their first punch in.

This will allow you to achieve more compliant timesheets. In California, non-exempt employees working for more than 5 hours per day must be provided with a 30 minute unpaid meal period. In New York, employees who work for more than 6 hours over a noon day meal period (from 11am to 2pm) must have at least a 30 minute break during that period. You can find a list of all state meal break laws on the Department of Labor website. Using this simple functionality, you can remind people to take their lunch that will in turn show up in the timesheets, making them more reliable and accurate.

Give it a go and let me know what you think.
