Day 91: Safe travels

You were heading out from our house in Sedona — back to Tucson I think. Maybe that will help you place this in time.

I was reading my scriptures in the back bedroom, and you’d just leaned in to say goodbye. I continued my study, heard you gather your stuff by the door. We were the only two home.

I sat and wrestled with a thought — a prompting maybe. In the end, it got me up from my seat, sent me to the front door to catch you before you left. I asked you if I could say a prayer to see you off. You sighed and looked me in the eye. You nodded, but held onto the bags you were holding as I offered the prayer. No amen echoed mine.

Zacko — I just wanted to say I’m sorry. But I’m glad it got you safely where you needed to go.
