Pastéis de Belém, A Brasileira and Sol e Pesca — 3 interesting places to visit in Lisbon, Portugal

Pastéis de Belém

Founded in 1837 by a monk after the monasteries had closed down in Portugal with the Liberal Revolution. Still at the same address, it’s one of those bakeries that get crowded indicating their snacks are excellent. Their classic product is the “pastel de belém”, also known as pastel de nata.

Café A Brasileira

Confeitaria Nacional

One of the oldest cafes in Lisbon, founded in 1829. There are 6 shops around the city.

The main shop is located at Praça da Figueira, a great place to try Portuguese delicacies and have a coffee next to St. George’s Castle (Castelo de São Jorge).

Bar Sol e Pesca

A trendy bar for have fish snacks with beer and local wines. The canned fish decoration serve as decoration as for consumption.
