“The idea of preparing our future society for expansion and diversity is a major project to think about. Having a society that understands many languages is very important for business and also opportunities for those whom hold this value. Businesses provide services to all kinds of people, regardless of religious background, race or any of that! By creating a community that is proficient in communication with these cultures, business can thrive greatly.”(Flores, 2018)

I agree with this quote, as communications systems get more advance we will an even greater access to the world. Communication is necessary to sell goods and services. People may be able to remotely work at a company in another country. This makes a need for bilingualism or even multilingualism.

Foreign customers or employees will be impressed and benefit from being able to speak their native language. If customers find it easier than you will have an advantage over competitors. Many companies right now are don’t market to other countries on the internet because their website is only in English. This lacks an inclusiveness of other cultures and avoids an entire market. A business could even take into consideration their culture and market a specific product for their needs.

With the connectiveness of the world today it will only get smaller. Countries on the other side of the world will have even more direct access to people. If someone in China see’s an ad in English. They could have had a potential customer.

With the advent of technology to learn languages quicker things will only speed up. Human artificial intelligence will let us keep up with robots but also connect us through multitudes of language. The barriers will keep getting smaller.
