A Topic

Throughout this blog series we will explore the future of education.

We will answer various questions about it’s design, how it will effect students, how it will keep our workforce outpacing the changes in technology and how traditional schooling may be a thing of the past.

Many trends are pointing to this for the of future education such as the advent of online classrooms and companies like SkillShare.

Why This?

I like the idea of this because I think college debt is a huge problem in society and lack of candidates for tech jobs makes employers care less about if students have gone to a coding academy which better keeps up with the changing languages used in code.

Students who want an alternative to debt but also want a knowledge based job would benefit from learning about the changing landscape of higher education.

I know that since there is a lack of slowing down in the demand for STEM graduates. Companies are looking at alternate forms of education that are taught by instructors currently in the industry vs a professor who never left academia.

We all have Questions

Some questions I have:

What companies are embracing the change?

How before a majority of employers accept this as a net benefit?

What are the pros and cons of a system like this?

How will it work to cover the spread in demand for employees in technology?

These questions interest me because I like studying innovation and want to see where the future will bring us and will it help solve some of the problems of today.

What Skills do you Need?

A skill I would want to possess is computer skills, and possibly programming knowledge depending on the industry.

To keep and develop this skill I could continue learning C++ and then start another newer language.
