Endless Summer

A Poem

Summer 2021

The sun,
it is drenched in us
we are blue skies
and balmy nights,
open roads and
musical notes.
We are September rain
and backyard flames
that nursed us through
freedoms lost
and hearts that were
fortunate to find
each other.
You are my calm
in this storm
and we, we are
an endless summer.
