I’ve always been a staunch advocate of living your life as passionately as it allows. Do what makes you feel fulfilled, so long as the risk to your stability is minimized and/or acceptable. However, is there a valid counterargument? Does it make sense to live life without passion? It seems to me that clearing up a potential ambiguity with the new premise makes this a moot point. Does living life without passion simply mean that you accept a less than tolerable style of life for some greater sense of stability? Comfort? Is it fear that stokes the desire for the familiar? If so, then it seems that stability is in fact the end goal. “Just fine” is satisfying enough. The grass here is green enough. Therefore, the real question emerges: Is there a right way to feel fulfilled? And does it apply to everyone?
