My sister is learning Spanish at school. She likes to come home and say “Hola, chicos!” but unfortunately, no one responds to her quite as enthusiastically as she wants. This — coupled with the more compelling facts that she’s wanted a puppy her whole life and that she’s turning 16 in a few days (!!!) — has resulted in our family becoming a tad bigger. We got our first dog! Say hello to Chico! A pomeranian of almost 10 weeks, you best bet that if Chico was a girl, her name would have been Chica. He is one of the cutest fluffballs I have ever seen. And smart to boot! We’ve had him for 12 days and he already knows how to sit and fetch (well, sort of; give him a break). Pooping where he’s supposed to is somewhat flaky; indeed, it’s still a bit strained. But relieve yourselves of any concerns. Flush them out of your memory. (All the puns intended.)
