EuroCucina 2018: Our vision of excellence

From helping you plan healthier meals, to storing and preserving your food to minimize waste, to assisting you in cooking the perfect dish and then doing the hard work to clean up after: smart and connected appliances can simplify and improve our everyday household tasks and help consumers make the most of every minute.

How can breakthroughs in design and technology transform every step in this process towards a simpler, more enjoyable food experience? At Whirlpool we have a vision about this quest for purposeful innovation, and we will share it with the world from today until Sunday during the 22nd edition of EuroCucina, the leading event for kitchen furniture and the point of reference for the latest state-of-the-art technologies and consumer-oriented designs.

This biennial and internationally-renowned event is followed closely for the latest industry design trends and for the broad range of top quality products showcased. For this reason, I am honored and excited that at our Whirlpool Corporation EuroCucina booth we are presenting our most recent product innovations and newest designs from four of our pan-European brands; KitchenAid, Whirlpool, Hotpoint and Indesit.

We are increasingly seeing a shift in consumer’s needs in their home and kitchen appliances dictated inevitably by lifestyle choices. Today people live more busy and digitized lives than ever before and, consequently, they look for efficient products that can make their lives easier while not compromising on aesthetic appeal. I look at this shift as an exciting opportunity to tackle new challenges and deliver breakthrough designs and technologies that will transform the experiences our consumers have in their kitchens.

All of our products and brands are based on comprehensive consumer insights we gather from continued market research. The new Whirlpool #SensingYourWorld campaign, for example, is inspired by the brand’s value of listening to its consumers. Responding to their desire for more integrated and connected appliances to simplify their daily tasks, Whirlpool created 6TH SENSE Technology, innovation which listens to, anticipates and adapts to the needs of its users.

To the world, Whirlpool is a large manufacturing corporation with a global presence, but to us we are a result of great people and places that matter: living and growing communities that contribute to the development of the company through a continuous exchange of experiences and values.

At EuroCucina 2018, we celebrate with a series of artworks those #PlacesThatMatter where our products come to life. Products that reflect our corporate responsibility and sustainability strategies on energy intensity, water intensity, zero waste to landfill and material transparency.
