Just Another OKRP Holiday Party

Even though OKRP has grown quite a bit since 2013, one tradition we’ve held onto is our cozy, low-key holiday party. And Dec 19 was no different, as 200 of our closest friends gathered in a 34,000 square foot, Gold Coast castle to drink and dance.

There’s no place like home for the holidays and Tao Chicago had so many little homey touches…

Mistletoe was hung where you could see. Well, not mistletoe exactly… aerial ribbon dancers hung from from the 35 foot ceiling. That familiar holiday sight complemented the classic comfort fare being served, like Phuket cocktails and Mini Wagyu Sliders.

Just like Grandma used to make. (Well, somebody’s grandma.)

Speaking of familiar faces, any real holiday get-together wouldn’t be complete without an annual visit from you-know-who: a professional dance crew that crushed it on America’s Got Talent, The Future Kingz!

It was like the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy — if that fairy popped, locked and did backward flips.

Ah, tradition.

Then, the Partners got up to talk about what really matters — delivering a message of gratitude and perspective, as they stood under a huge EMD projection screen emblazoned with a 20 foot tall “OKRP.”

Yes of course, the holidays are fun. But it’s not just about the party.

It’s about the after-party at the Hangge Uppe.
