Firebase — now you can launch A/B test for new users

Firebase finally did it. It was a pain to run A/B test via Firebase for new users. But now developers from Firebase hear our requests. And they added a function to set “fist_open” parameter as a condition for A/B tests.

When you select “First open” parameter you can choose to target “New users” or “Time range”. You can specified date and time, in the specified timezone. And then it will matches users who first open the targeted app within the specified time range: “Before “selected time or “After”

Keep in mind that you need to use the following Firebase SDK:

Targeting first open time requires Firebase iOS SDK 9.0.0 and Firebase Android SDK 30.3.0 or later. More info
