I’m a very lucky person. My good pal Amy also owns my favorite eatery, the Night Kitchen Bakery in Chestnut Hill, PA.

Amy and I, both progressive Democrats, were feeling plenty of despair after the Biden debate debacle. Donald Trump’s return to the White House seemed inevitable. And then?

Biden stepped aside. Harris stepped up. And suddenly, there’s hope!

Hope feels great. And, if you own a bakery? Hope tastes great too. I celebrated my new sense of hope by making a donation to the Harris campaign. As did Amy.

And because she’s a baker who’s a wizard at communicating with pastry, Amy also celebrated her new sense of hope and joy by designing a red, white and blue Kamala 2024 cookie.

With little stars & stripes sprinkles!

After which? The Night Kitchen Bakery endorsed Harris.

Do bakeries usually endorse presidential candidates? Nope. But these are unusual times.
