WhiteMatrix held a webinar on NFT for the Pakistani community
On August 25, WhiteMatrix held a webinar on NFT and its rise with the title “Everything you need to know about NFT” for the Pakistani community. Ali, a Community Manager at WhiteMatrix was the speaker for the event.
The main discussion focused on the following:
- What’s an NFT?
- Why NFTs got much popularity?
- How to create an NFT?
- Explored some NFT marketplaces.
- Introduction to Metaverse and live demo of some Metaverse markets such as cryptovoxel
The main idea behind this event was to educate the Pakistani audience with the knowledge of blockchain, and how NFT, blockchain, and Metaverse are combined, a live demo was given on how to create your own NFT and list it on the NFT marketplace. Some NFT marketplaces were explored such as opensea.io, Rarrible, Foundation, Refinable, Binance NFT marketplace, and Nifty Gateway.
Ali discussed in detail the story behind the scene like how someone gets provable ownership when buys an NFT, and how the provable ownership can be traced using blockchain explorer from anywhere in the world.
He also highlighted the demand for jobs on Freelancing marketplaces for both fungible and non-fungible token creation and NFT marketplaces creation. He further said that the present and near future is the golden time for digital artists, and the demand for them is rising day by day, people have increased charges on freelancing marketplaces for the services related to graphic designing, 3d modeling, after the news about NFTs.
Ali explained why NFTs are getting popularity by telling the features of blockchain such as it provides decentralization, immutability, traceability, security, and transparency, which was impossible without blockchain.
Ali showed some Pakistani sold NFTs on Foundation Marketplace for 20.00 Ethers on August 2, 2021, as well as on Binance NFT marketplace for the sportsman, named Shoaib Akhtar and Waseem Akram.
Ali further pointed out about the NFTs sold by Beeple for $69.3 million and crypto punks, one of them is bought by Visa also recently.
It was showed to the audience how they can program their own ERC-20, ERC-721 standard tokens, and program other smart contracts of their interest using ChainIDE, and deploy them to different blockchains.
Some Metaverse projects such as Rivermen, Cryptovoxel were discussed and the big companies that started working in Metaverse such as Oculus by Facebook, Invidia, and Unity were also discussed briefly.
In the end, the question-answer session was conducted and all the questions were answered to the audience.
