What is Anti-Phishing?

Anti-Phishing is a wide range of practices meant to defend against scams.

*Phishing is an attempt to obtain confidential information, such as passwords or social security numbers. Phishing attacks are usually carried out with emails from banks or other institutions that contain links to fraudulent web pages.

How does our Anti-Phishing work?

We give our users personal anti-phishing codes for incoming emails from WhiteBIT. This way, you can be sure that the letter was sent from us and not from someone else.

How to get a code?

  • Log in to your account, click “Security” and scroll down to “Anti-Phishing”.
  • Click “Enable” and type in your code in a new window (you need to generate it yourself any way you want. You can use words, numbers, or characters). Save it.
  • To check if Anti-Phishing works, log in to your account again, and you will receive a notification letter with your personal code.

What should I do if I received an email from WhiteBit without an Anti-Phishing code?

Do not open such letters! This is an attempt to obtain your confidential information.

If you received such a letter, please, contact our support team via support@whitebit.com.

WhiteBIT recommends users to set up an Anti-Phishing code, as this provides additional security.
