When facing enemies that can open portals, redirect gravity, and thoroughly dice objects with barely visible threads, you’d expect heroes to draw their power from some other worldly source. Yet, demon slayers are content to draw their strength from the simple act of controlled breathing. Demon Slayer’s various breathing styles are the cornerstone of its magic system. Its techniques are so epic I started to wonder if there are any like them in real life. As it turns out, there are.

As a quick disclaimer, I am not a health or fitness expert, and results will certainly vary when attempting the breathing techniques I’ll share. If you want specific instructions on how and when to apply these methods, I recommend doing your own additional research, especially if you have a respiratory impairment like asthma.
