My Bio

I was born in the Philippines and have lived in many areas of the country, but am proud to claim California as home. I moved to Washington DC January of last year to intern for Congresswoman Matsui (CA-06) and graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a bachelor’s in Sociology shortly after. Since then, I have had the amazing opportunity to work for and learn from the team at the House Appropriations Committee’s Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies Subcommittee.

What inspired you to get involved in public service?

I have been a part of many different communities across the United States growing up. I have been able to witness the successes and struggles of many different people firsthand. I cannot think of anything better than trying to improve the lives of the of people who have helped shaped my life and who I am today.

Name one person you look up to and explain why.

My parents (two people I know- but a unit for as long as I can remember) have worked tirelessly my entire life to provide me with opportunities and have encouraged me in absolutely everything I do. I am so proud to follow the example they have set for me and my siblings.

What is one hope that you have for the future? Or what is one piece of advice that you would like to share?

For anyone with a shred of doubt- you earned your seat at the table and your voice is just as valuable as the next.
