Don’t Tell Me It’s Okay to Be a Hater
No matter which Presidential candidate you find unacceptable, mudslinging isn't good for your body, mind, or spirit.
This is not an article about politics. Far from it.
Whether you support Trump, Kamala, RFK Jr., or anyone else, something much more important is at stake—your sanity and well-being.
Lots of people love Trump. Lots of people hate him and wanted that bullet to take more than his ear off. Lots of people like Kamala. Lots don't. The same goes for RFK Jr.
Disagree all day long. Strongly disagree. But don't open the door to hate and spew it all around.
Hate is a powerful, negative emotion. It doesn't peacefully co-exist with acceptance of what you can't control, tranquility, love, or a peaceful state of mind.
Saying you hate someone or something will not change anything. We all know this, but when we get upset, see injustice, or feel unsafe or threatened, we can slip into survival mode and do and say things that don't reflect our best selves.
If you're feeling more aggressive than usual because of the political climate in America, it might be a good time to look in the mirror and ask yourself if this is really the hill you want to die on.
