Neither A Borrower Nor A Lender Be

Before you think of borrowing from a friend, ask yourself this. What is more important, the thing being borrowed, or your friendship?

I’ve always been happy to lend things to people. I’m not a borrower myself. And though I’d replace things if they came to grief, if I ever borrowed, the idea sits uneasily with me.
