You Can Miss Them and Still Move On
Missing someone doesn’t make you stuck.
It doesn’t make you broken or weak either.
It means they mattered.
Some people leave marks you cannot scrub overnight.
I am here to tell you that:
you can miss someone with every corner of your heart and still know they don’t belong in your life anymore.
You can miss their laugh, their texts, the lazy Sunday mornings, the way they made you feel seen. You can miss the version of yourself when you were with them.
And still — you can move on.
Missing them doesn’t mean you want them back. It means they were real. It means you felt something worth remembering. Some chapters you reread because they were beautiful.
We convince ourselves moving on is this clean break, flipping a switch. One day you’re heartbroken, the next day you’re not.
It’s all crap.
Sometimes, moving on looks like getting through your day just fine, then hearing a song that makes your chest ache. It looks like laughing with friends, then feeling the sting when you pass their favourite coffee shop.
And no. Do not let anyone tell you “you’re not over them”.
