WHub is excited to host the Hong Kong Tech & Startups Job Fair #11 at Startup Impact Summit. Startup Impact Summit is one of the core events of the 2019 StartmeupHK Festival which WHub is hosting in conjunction with Invest HK!

1.What personality traits do you look for in your ideal team members? Self motivated and people who align with our core values of passion, team work and humility

2. What was the last big achievement that was celebrated?
Having a team of 18 in Asia with 40+ clients and 2 new offices in SG & Tokyo in a span of 2 years

3. Does the company host social outings or events for employees?
Team building twice a year and team lunches and lot more coming soon.

4. What continuing learning opportunities do you have for your employees?
Multitasking, learning from your own mistakes and never get stagnated in your comfort zone while working amicably with 10 different nationalities under 1 roof.

2. What was the last big achievement that was celebrated?

Animoca Brands was named one of the world’s Top 50 Developers in 2018 by PocketGamer.biz, the world’s leading B2B mobile games industry portal! The Top 50 Developers represent the best game companies from across the sector, with Fortnite developer, Epic Games, coming in first place. The list also includes industry titans like Tencent, NetEase, King, Netmarble, Roblox, Supercell, Playrix, Com2us, and Peak Games.

3. Does the company host social outings or events for employees?

We host social outings and team building events such as movie afternoons, happy hour drinks and host an annual pumpkin carving contest, Christmas party and Spring Dinner. We also have a game room with a Switch console, VR set and fitness equipment and there is a basketball court outside the office.

4. What continuing learning opportunities do you have for your employees?

We hold team sharing sessions, invite guest speakers to come in, host workshops, provide opportunities to attend industry conferences and events, and for certain roles, there is the potential for sponsored study or exchange programs with one of our international subsidiaries.

There is a lot of opportunity to change the landscape for how players engage with games and we are excited about how we will build these new experiences and drive large scale adoption for blockchain and AI technologies in the gaming space!

2. What was the last big achievement that was celebrated?

In our 3 years, we have reached 170K members who are invited by email to our weekly flash sales event. Last year, OnTheList successfully organised 65 flash sales events in store and 90 sales online with over 200 brands in Hong Kong. Around 300,000 items are sold last year. Our best event has recorded over 10K people visiting our showroom between 3–4 day!

We also launched in Singapore with monthly pop up sales offline and online. We are lucky to have nearly 3K shoppers visiting us across our 4-day sale and more that 80% of stocks cleared.

Great people is one of our shared values. We have birthday celebrations every month and festival celebration with all team members. Also, we organise team building activities in order for team members to strengthen our relationships.

4. What continuing learning opportunities do you have for your employees?

We put a high focus on developing each member level of expertise, autonomy and scope of influence with the team and the company. Besides, we offer a flat structure with real opportunity to work with our Co-founders to build the future of OnTheList. Being one of the top fastest growing startups in Hong Kong, our team members can enjoy flexible working culture and responsible from day one with a steep learning curve.

5. What excites you about your company’s future?

This month, we are going to celebrate our 3rd anniversary with a series of events! In 2019, we hope we can bring in more desired brands to our Hong Kong and Singapore members. We are looking forward to having more and more sales in Singapore and a permanent showroom there. We will launch our first flash sales in Taiwan in March with a well-known partner. Besides, we are looking to see if we can bring in the flash sales concept into China market in Q3 or Q4 this year.

1.What personality traits do you look for in your ideal team members? Integrity, passion, curiosity, drive and creativity.

2. What was the last big achievement that was celebrated? We celebrated a great year of achievements as a team in December and shared a recap of our achievements to our customers via newsletter so that they could take pride in the impact they have created as a community of Retyklers.

3. Does the company host social outings or events for employees? We have monthly team lunches, birthday celebrations, quarterly team outings and Friday drinks. We also volunteer for our partner charities at least once per year.

4. What continuing learning opportunities do you have for your employees?

Each team member is provided a budget and encouraged to seek out external learning and development opportunities offline and online. We also have quarterly internal trainings so that team members can further learn from each other as well as work on their presentation skills. We encourage team members to sit on panels and seek out personal opportunities to present on behalf of the company.

5. What excites you about your company’s future? Resale is anticipated to outpace fast fashion sales within 10 years. This is good news for the planet and our kids futures. Retykle is helping to pave the future of circular retail at scale.

We sold-out our annual industry thought-leadership conference and went on to complete a successful round of funding giving us multi-year runway!
