Every day people in our country are raped, burnt and killed because of caste. Everyday, a part of humanity dies with them. Milan Global is creating an intentional community with the aim of annihilating caste-based discrimination in India and the world. We are all part of the problem. So, we should all be a part of the solution.

To provide you with a basic understanding of the history and status quo, we created this publication. You can also check out our podcast on with Salil Shetty, former Secretary General of Amnesty International, on the recent humanitarian crisis faced by India in COVID-19.

If you

  • have the work ethic and commitment to transform your capabilities and effectively address issues plaguing humanity,
  • are not being given opportunities you feel you deserve due to systemic barriers, or
  • are already engaged in this work and want to explore how we can support you,

In the words of the freedom fighter Frederick Douglass:

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favour freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are people who want crops without ploughing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roars of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one, or it may be a physical one. Or it may be both moral and physical, but it must be a struggle. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will. We may not get all that we work for in this world, but we must certainly work for all that we get.
