Hard journey for a girl to go on
The journey to discover your sexuality
Hard to filter out and find
Those who respect you as a human being
Just as you respect them
Especially harder to find
Those who want what you want

What you want is probably
Not a societal norm
(But that society where it is a norm does exist… keep looking)
It is definitely not an
800 year old cultural expectation
It is not dirty
Or slutty, or loose… or bad
It is not weakness

What it is?
A craving
That comes from the deepest part of you
The realest part of you
The part that only becomes
As a result of life as you had it

How you embrace, explore
Or suppress it
(Or are made to suppress it)
Is the story of your life

What it is?
Being human
Not all of us are free to be human
In this way
For so many reasons and
With so many consequences
