From Mexico to Vietnam, Canada to New Zealand, Chile to Russia, it has never been more crucial to maintain the quest for environmental improvement. Every reasonable and thoughtful person on Earth should take into consideration the struggle of keeping our water clean for use, deliver fresh and clean air, fertile soil, and understand the effects of climate change, i.e., global warming.

Yet, our world is already facing one of the greatest enemies for humankind, because it is invisible to our eyesight. The enemy is well-known as the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). And we witnessed how “normal” life could change in a “blink of an eye.”

Practically the whole world experienced a lockdown to prevent its spreading. We are continually asking ourselves, “from where did it came” or “how did it happen” etc. It appeared in China, and in a couple of months, it became pandemic.

Anyway, viruses are not living things, and it is one of the main reasons why we should take care of our environment because humans “should” be at the very forefront of protecting the environment and maintain its proper functioning.

In the recent period, I’ve been researching environmental activists through their media influence. They already have raised a higher level of awareness upon their permanent approach and guidelines due to their time-investment in establishing a healthy society for every living creature on Earth. So, let me reveal to you the top 5 influencers that are environmental activists.

1. Greta Thunberg

If the starting point of the list doesn’t include the Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg (born 2003), then this whole struggle won’t make any sense at all.

Greta is a young environmental activist, setting the trend for future young people not to be afraid of raising their voice for a better tomorrow. Greta featured on the cover of Time magazine. The nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize and her influence is dubbed as the “Greta Thunberg effect.”

Greta is an example for people of all ages, showing us that one person can help change the world!
