We know, we know — you miss everything except the hill, right?
Whether you’re staying in Eau Claire or home until the fall, we can assure you that these things will happen to you this summer. And when they do, you’ll be reminded that being a Blugold is probably the best thing in the world.
Here’s what we think makes a Blugold summer iconic:
You miss the random Chancellor Jim sightings around campus.
You ‘gram the sunset at least once a week (or cry whenever someone else does).
You have calf bragging rights with all your non-Blugold friends back home.
(at least at the beginning of the summer — by fall you’ll be a hill newbie all over again!)
You miss interacting with all your favorite professors and recurring classmates.
You have your dream internship!
You’re beyond excited to finally have time to explore downtown EC.
Coffee! Antiques! Live music! Pizza! More coffee! The options are endless.
You live for Saturdays — because that’s when you can snag some fresh veggies, flowers and other goodies at the Downtown Eau Claire Farmers Market!
You feel lost without the Schofield bell constantly reminding you what time it is.
You’re headed to a local music festival this summer — or at least the Sounds like Summer concert series!
If you’re in Eau Claire, you constantly take pictures of the campus squirrels and duck family.
Because it’s important to keep your out-of-town Blugold pals up-to-date on the important things in life.
You plan all your other weekly activities around tubing.
All your friends back home ask you what a Blugold is, and you get excited because you actually have a good answer by now.
You think summer is great… but you get a little *too excited* thinking about coming back to campus in the fall.
We hope you’re having a great summer, Blugolds! Your second home misses you.
