Writing my FIRST BLOG was as tough as telling my CRUSH that I liked him.

Seriously.

That deadly day, when I committed to my boss that I would write a blog. The pressure was huge for someone like me who had never written before. I had to write a good blog because I was surrounded by writers, who had written interesting blogs like, ‘I am a man and I sell Period Panties’, and ‘Naming Your Business ? Here’s How I Did It.

I thought how tough it could be to write. I had been given the freedom to write about anything. I started envisioning myself sitting at peace, sipping my Starbucks cappuccino writing thoughtfully something on my Mac. It will gonna be easy…

….until, I got introduced to the first fundamental rule of writing

When you want to write about something, you end up writing nothing.

Totally

I was clueless about what to write, A melodramatic story how I got my first period or about my inner voice or about feminism (most talked topic of the year). The rule of mind is when you really need it, it stops working…At least for me, it did.

Think

Finally, I end up checking the Yoda “GOOGLE”on What to write..

But nothing worked.

2nd fundamental rule of writing

The moment you get an idea before you pen it down, it’s gone.

Writing about something is not tough. Thinking and writing at same time is like a mission impossible. Because your thinking runs like cheetah but your writing goes like sloth.

Moment Of Failure

There were times when I almost gave up and was ready to call my boss to call it quits. But my commitment theory (Once you committed something, you should do it) stopped me. I know it sounds ‘filmy’ but that’s the fabric I am made of.

So started this blog and realised the 3rd Fundamental rule of writing

Writing a blog helps you to express yourself, but you write to impress.

Be You, Be Original. It doesn’t mean you can’t take inspirations from other blogs. You should write what you feel and not what others feel.

1. Write In Simple Language. I don’t want my reader to sit with dictionary while reading my article.

2. Your viewpoints might not be agreeable for somebody but it can’t be wrong.

3. No blog is good or bad. Every blog gives you some learning (said Blog Ninja)

4. Cool is a factor and it doesn’t have any theorem. I’m trying to be mathematically sound here. Don’t laugh :)

Finally, I learned the last rule of writing.

Life becomes easy when you finished your first article.

I don’t know whether writing a blog is life changing experience or not, but you start respecting other writers.

When you finished your article, you start feeling excited and scared to share with your friends and to post it on the blog sites. Then finally when you post it, and then the countdown starts, you wait for 1st comment and like & share You pretend that you don’t care but then…

Writing a blog is an addiction. Because all the learning from your first blog will help to write another.

Should I write again or not is still under question?

I’m thinking. What do you think ?
