Honey Joy are a lovely indie punk band from London. Their debut record is released by Everything Sucks and Infinity Cat Recordings. After a few lineup changes, they finally can find a solid sound between punk and indie pop tunes. Sometimes they sound so angry and then in seconds turning so sweet.

Honey Joy worked closely with producer Hookworms’ MJ, who are also responsible for album from Martha and Bear Trade. The band is described having bite and energy like Joyride! and Blowout. And maybe I think the band also can’t be separated from their London peers like Doe, Fresh, even Petrol Girls.

My favorite track is ‘All We Need’. It’s so uplifting with its lyrics. “Every person has a story but it’s not their only one and they might need to seek help so make sure you’re there with open arms.” I also love ‘Flroeana’ and ‘Done’.
