AMA Transcript: Wicrypt with Crypto Talkz Community
On October 19th, Ms. Toni Dada (COO) of Wicrypt had the wonderful opportunity to join an insightful AMA session with the Crypto Talkz Community.
We prepared this AMA Transcript to keep our community members abreast of all that transpired in the session, especially if they couldn’t join the event.

Project Introduction
Q. Can you briefly introduce yourself as well as Wicrypt? From where did you get the project name and what does it mean to you? Why did you choose this name for your project?
Toni: My name is Toni Dada. I am the COO of Wicrypt and have over 14 years of experience in the Telecoms and Fintech space leading growth for the two biggest Telecoms companies in Nigeria MTN and Etisalat.
My team has a strong engineering and business background. Our founder and CEO, Aronu Ugochukwu, is the one who founded Xend Finance, the first DeFi project from Africa. Our CTO, Chuwkuemeka Nweke is a skilled blockchain engineer and leads our blockchain engineering team. We have our marketing and business teams in Nigeria, US, India, and China.
The project name was created by the CTO, Chukwuemeka Nweke. It means encrypted Wi-Fi to us.
Q. Tell us about your mission and vision in building this project. What do you want to achieve through your project in the future?
Toni: Our mission is to create a decentralized mobile internet network that will make the internet available anywhere in the world and also drive down the cost of mobile internet data. We hope to achieve having over 10,000,000,000 hotspots in the next 4 years.
Q. What strengths does Wicrypt have to compete with competitors?
Toni:
- Users earn money by sharing their internet data.
- Freedom to decide your own rates for creating a hotspot network.
- Put a limit on the data usage & time.
- Get customer feedback & run ads of your business.
- Clients also mine WNT for using the hotspot network.
- Hosts that create Wicrypt hotspots mine WNT (Wicrypt Network Tokens). WNT is the native token of the network.
- Wicrypt is location and ISP agnostic. This means it can work anywhere with any Internet service provider.
- Wicrypt is very secure and runs its own Operating System.
Q. So how important is the community to your project? How can we collaborate or help share token for the development of the project?
Toni: Wicrypt is a community-based project. The community is leading the charge to create these hotspots in different parts of the world. The community will earn free Wicrypt Network Tokens ($WNT) when they set up hotspots and connect people to the internet.
Q. Could you please provide some progress on your Roadmap and what results Wicrypt has achieved so far?

Q. @godpelpa: As far as I know, routers give access to high-speed connectivity and WICRYPT offers users seamless internet connectivity. So, in countries like Venezuela where the signal source is not high the devices developed by your company could work?
Toni: Yes our devices can work anywhere in the world.
Q. @kimterbear: Wicrypt allows users to create their own hotspot network or chain of hotspot networks and offer your community a secure net. I would like to know how many max users can connect to my network on a chain of hotspots? Would the speed of the network gradually decrease if the chain is long?
Toni: One of our devices (Spider) can take up to 70 users while Lynx can take 50 users. Wicrypt devices allow QoS (Quality of Service) settings which ensures that the more users that connect, the speed does not reduce. With this configuration, a certain bandwidth is assigned to every connecting client.
Q. @juniorrf24: What are the objectives they plan to meet, what next projects do they hope to work on and finally it would be appropriate to affirm that in the meantime, they will seek to position themselves among the best companies in the large telecommunications industry in the world?
Toni: Our main next objectives include the following:
1. Launch our Device Sales and Rare NFT sales to jump-start our global audience
2. Launch our tokens
3. Activate reward mechanism
4. Grow up to 100,000 hotspots in the next 1 year.
Q. @godpelpa: I was very interested in the service you offer but can I use these routers outside Africa? I read that users recharge from the wallet, can you give details of the fees that have to be paid, or do you have to pay with the native token? Are there other options available?
Toni: Yes you can use our service outside Africa. You can recharge with fiat or with native tokens. We also support Bitcoin and Ethers.
Q. @daviidal95: To access the Wicrypt network service is like in any other internet network or there are extra steps and it is also useful to know if it is only available for companies, organizations, etc., of the crypto space or also for home and personal use outside the crypto scope?

Community Questions
Q. In the context that indeed if in Wicrypt everyone can access high-speed internet for free or at a certain price they choose, so, what is the difference between accessing it for free or paying, could you give a comparison and brief explanation about it?
Toni: Wicrypt gives the device owner the power to choose if he or she wants to be paid for the internet or if they want to give it out for free. So it totally depends on the device owner’s configuration.
