Introduction Questions Asked By Team BlockTalks!

Q1. Could you please introduce Wicrypt to our community in layman’s term?

Ans – In Layman’s terms, Wicrypt is a service that enables anyone to make money when they share their WiFi.

In a bit more detailed way, Wicrypt is Decentralized mobile internet sharing and monetization network. Wicrypt has created a smart Wi-Fi network infrastructure that runs on a decentralized network of micro-nodes powered by the Wicrypt OS(operating system), giving anyone the power to act as a micro internet service provider.

Q2. What are the advantages of Wicrypt to other alternatives in the Blockchain field?

Ans – 1. Users earn money by sharing their internet data

2. Freedom to decide your own rates for creating a hotspot network

3. Put a limit on the data usage & time

4. Get customer feedback & run ads of your business

5. Clients also mine WNT for using the hotspot network

6. Hosts that create Wicrypt hotspots mine WNT (Wicrypt Network Tokens). WNT is the native token of the network

7. Wicrypt is location and ISP agnostic. This means it can work anywhere with any Internet service provider

8. Wicrypt is very secure and runs its own Operating System

Questions Asked on Twitter For Wicrypt Team!

Q1. If I buy one of your routers that are just great, will I be able to use it in my country outside of Africa? You say that it is possible to recharge from the wallet, what are the fees, only with your token or are there other options available? How much should I pay to my ISP?

Ans – Yes, you can use our devices outside of Africa.

There are no fees when topping up your wallet. You can use payment methods like debit or credit cards, Ether or Bitcoins. Our tokens will be supported once we go live.

You can pay your ISP the amount of money required to purchase data in bulk, then you can share and earn money when others connect to your device.

Q2. Its smart routers provide high-speed connectivity access to clients. Wicrypt enables users to access internet connectivity seamlessly and conveniently with our smart features. But what if the country where I live lacks a high signal source? Would it work anywhere on the go?

Ans – It will not work with high speed if you do not have access to high speed internet in your country.

Q3. WiCrypt will offer to users the option to purchase a preconfigured Wicrypt mobile device, can you tell us more about this devices and how will they exactly work? What are the benefits of having one and provide connection with it instead of our cellphones? How much will they cost?

Ans – The devices we have are designed to do the following

  1. Handle over 50 concurrent users
  2. 2. Runs the Wicrypt OS which ensures security of connections
  3. 3. Allows users to mine the $WNT (Wicrypt Network Tokens)
  4. 4. Put a limit on the data usage & time
  5. 5. Get customer feedback & run ads of your business
  6. You can perform a few of these functions on our mobile app on your cell phone but it is not scalable and we do not recommend it for businesses
  7. Device cost about $150

Q4. I just found out that Wicrypt is only available in Nigeria now. Will its use increase in more countries? Do you have a service that can work anywhere in the world?

Ans – Yes it will. Our service works anywhere in the world. We have users in other African countries using it already.

Q5. Reading your whitepaper, I saw that Wicrypt ecosystem has two major OS routers which are Spider B78 and Lynx 304 ?Can you the major function of these Routers ? How are they different from each other and amongst the two, which one offers the most security and reliability to users

Ans – LYNX 304 and SPIDER B78 Are our new device models running our new Wicrypt Operating System

LYNX 304 is a battery powered router that can maintain up to 50 concurrent client connections

SPIDER B78 is a higher capacity router without and internal battery and can maintain up to 70 concurrent client connections

These devices come with improved

range: They both have support of up to 9dBi antennas

connectivity: These devices have a dual sim version to create redundancy and provide internet access even in remote regions where one network provider may fail

Power consumption: The LYNX 304 device is optimized to consume less power and can stay on for over 10 hours without connecting to external power source

Location sensing; These new devices come with inbuilt GPS to give real-time location of the devices. Hosts can decide to show location or not

These devices can be used to mine $WNT

Questions Asked by BlockTalks Community Members during live Session to Wicrypt Team!!

Q1. Because you are from Nigeria, how do you deal with the government’s harsh crypto rules?

Ans – No we don’t. Wicrypt has been running for 3 years. We launched without a token in 2018 and we become profitable. We will be launching our token in the coming month to reach a global audience. We are solving real world problems and we are not affected by crypto regulations.

Q2. Wicrypt has created an intelligent Wi-Fi network infrastructure that runs on a decentralized network of micro-nodes powered by Wicrypt OS (operating system). What is the Wicrypt OS operating system? Who has access to this OS?

Ans – The Wicrypt OS is based out of OpenWRT, which is a Linux Embedded Development Environment. Wicrypt team has access to the OS. The Wicrypt OS handles all heavy lifting.

Q3. If we collect data, do we need permission to our users to collect their data, how is their data safe and protected with WiCrypt?

Ans – Yes, users will have to agree that the host will collect their data before submitting. The Wicrypt system is very safe and secure and used a solid cloud infrastructure to protect user data

Q4. In the whitepaper you say that the distribution of rewards and the calculation of scarcity are managed by a smart reward contract with “governable parameters”. What are these parameters and how do they work? Are they alterable by the community?

Ans – The parameters are things like Device Uptime, Amount of BandWidth shared, Number of Connected users.

These parameters can be governed and altered by the community once governance goes live.

Q5. Based on my research of Wicrypt platform, I can across an element referred to as “Micro nodes”. What is the function of the “ Micro Nodes”. How is it deployed and how can it be created

Ans – The Micro-nodes are the Wicrypt devices like the Lynx and the Spider. The Micro nodes enable you to mine $WNT (Wicrypt Network Tokens) when your devices are up and people are connecting to them.

The Micro-Nodes run the Wicrypt OS and helps in securing the Wicrypt network.
