The Wicrypt Explorer is finally off the te stnet and is now on the mainnet. This means you can now explore hotspot activity, not just for your hotspot hub, but for other hotspot hubs around the world.

The Wicrypt Explorer is a clean visualization of all activity on the Wicrypt Network. The Explorer gives you an overview of all the hubs, transactions, and blocks ‌on the network.

How Does The Wicrypt Explorer Work?

We built the Explorer to provide information about activities carried out on the Wicrypt Network. All data on the network is carried out and stored on the blockchain. The Wicrypt Explorer simply visualizes that data.

On the blockchain, blocks are collections of transactions that have been reviewed and authorized by a group of people known as miners. This follows the Proof-of-Stake principle which the Wicrypt Network runs on. The Explorer page displays block activity as it is validated in real-time.

We built our data over the world map, so you get a bird’s-eye view of the region where each device is located. This is in line with our community-driven goal of maintaining transparency and open connections.

Apart from the location of each device, the Wicrypt Explorer page also lets you see:

  • The number of hubs added to the Wicrypt Network‌, whether they are online or offline.
  • The name of the user registered to the device.
  • The internet speed of each hub.
  • The latest devices added to the network.
  • The block transactions which are carried out by each user.

You can learn more about our Explorer page by reading our previous article here.

Setting Up & Navigating The Wicrypt Explorer

Setting up your device on the Wicrypt Explorer is very easy and navigating it is a breeze.

First, visit the Explorer page. There you will be greeted with a map showing all the hotspot hubs currently registered by the Wicrypt Community all over the world.

Next, you need to link your wallet to the Explorer page. If you don’t know how to set up your Metamask wallet, you can learn how to do so here.

Once you have connected your wallet, you can check out all the data displayed in the explorer.

You can start by exploring devices in the Wicrypt Network by clicking “Devices”.

In the “My Devices” section, you can see your average data speed, which is broken down into MegaBytes per Second (MBps)

Note: You can only see data about your device when you’ve connected your wallet

You can also ‌ take a look through the statistics page, which shows real-time information about the number of hubs active on the network, including which hubs are online and offline. You can also get information about the location of hubs on the network. Note that we do not share the exact address of the hub — rather, we share information about the country and city it is in.

You can see more information about how many cities have active hubs and how many hubs there are in each city by checking the “Cities” tab.

You can also get more technical information about block transactions carried out on the Wicrypt Network right from the Explorer’s page. To get information about this, click “Blocks’’ in the top right corner of the page.

You can also get information about Outliers on the Network by clicking the “Outliers’’ tab in the top right corner of your screen. The Outliers is a community of Wicrypt hotspot hub owners who hold the device as an NFT.

The Wicrypt Explorer lets you follow us in our mission to empower humankind by providing decentralized infrastructure for high-speed internet connectivity. Head over to the Explorer page now to see all Wicrypt Network activity in one place.
