This is the time to start thinking about the best steps to take when reopening your business after the COVID-19 lockdown. A lot of businesses wish they were able to communicate with their customers during this lockdown to make sure they were keeping safe or knowing how to best serve them even at home. Well, it is not too late to build an easy customer contact list if you have not started.

Here are a few pointers I have seen work like magic. Shall we?

  1. Put up very clear and simple signs to educate your customers about COVID-19 and take preventive measures to ensure your customers remain safe even within your business premises. These signs can be on walls, tabletops, or your “WiFi Login Page”.
  2. Announce your business reopening with some incentives. You can reach out to your customers through email, SMS, Facebook, etc. Well, that is if you have collected their contact details. Tell them you have free WiFi, tell anyone you have free WiFi, they will all come running.
  3. Collect customer information and customer reviews easily. Customers hardly want to fill review papers on tabletops. Most of them don’t like writing things down. But rather than a review paper, give them a WiFi voucher code and a space to drop a review. Your reviews will always come promptly.
