Wicrypt Network is excited to release our roadmap to give insight into the next steps we will be taking as a platform as we continue to expand through the years. This outline provides a guide for Wicrypt’s next steps through 2021 and gives users a scope of the platform and our growth prospects.
To begin with, let us look at our achievements through the year 2021. Most of our work is centered on Network and Product progress. Below is a brief list of our achievements over the last 3 years (2018–2020).

Wicrypt’s technology allows individuals, businesses, governments, developers, NGOs to create a highly customizable and decentralized mobile internet distribution network.

To achieve our mission of decentralizing the mobile internet and monetizing data sharing globally, we have come up with an ambitious roadmap for 2021 that will build on the significant work we have already realized so far. We have decided to plan on six month intervals. The following is our roadmap which gives details of what we have already achieved in the first half of the year 2021( H1 2021) and also covers the further milestones for the second half of the year 2021 ( H2 2021 ).

- Real-time notification of nearest Wicrypt hotspot
- Develop more detailed integration and control of device(Wicrypt Router)
- Support for more business features including voucher and token management

c. iOS ( H1 2021 )
- Updated our UI to support multiple use-cases such as personal and business

- Updated old UI framework to use UIKit
- Built work around for peer-to-peer on iOS due to restrictions by apple

- Create real-time location viewing of all devices
- Add support for voucher generation on the router via debit card and USDT payments
- Add support for wallet top-up via card payments in Cedis, Rand and Shillings
- Create an automated KYC procedure
- Add support for device owners to lock a device from their dashboard
- Create a device monitoring dashboard for tracking device health
- Withdrawal of profits via USDT or supported cryptocurrencies
3. ROUTER
a. Router ( H1 2021 )
- Developed support for advertisement
- Developed support for customizable dynamic form page
- Developed support for handover.
- Developed a module that monitors router internet access.
- Developed a customized OpenWrt LuCi interface.
- Developed OpenWRT OS that has Wicrypt firmware preconfigured.
- Developed a module for building OpenWRT OS to support different router architecture.
b. Router ( H2 2021 )
- Add GPS support to Wicrypt OS
- Add Dual Sim support to Wicrypt OS
- Support for Data Caching to reduce data consumed during internet access
- Website zero rating by hosts
- Launch of two new devices
4. Blockchain
Blockchain (H2 2021)
- Create an ERC-721 NFT token to represent each of our devices on the blockchain, with an IPFS data store for device metadata
- Create an explorer for all of our Wicrypt routers. Contains information about the device metadata and attributes
- Support for minting of tokens once a router is purchased from the web / mobile client
- Create a data ingestion pipeline for our NFT blockchain data
- Wicrypt Token Mining by device holders
Distribution
The aim of Wicrypt Network is to create a huge hotspot network to improve the distribution of mobile internet and drive last-mile mobile internet connectivity.

- Partnerships with more manufacturers for hardware production. Currently have one approved manufacturer
