WIFI becomes more and more important for our daily life. It is widely used in our working life. If the employer wants to use the employee effectively and improve their productivity, the best way is to let them do there work anywhere online. They don’t necessarily have to work in an office with wi-fi. With the development of WIFI, it’s necessary for employees to connect WIFI everywhere without place limitation.

If we use WIFI properly, it will improve their productivity. For example, employees can reply to emails outside the office instead of only at their desks with immobile devices.

During my internship, I often heard my colleagues complain that they had to sit at their desks for three hours without moving in order to finish their work on time. Only desktop computers can connect to the Internet through an Internet cable. It means that as long as they leave their desks, they cannot work. Keeping work for long times without moving makes them tired and less productive. If the company provide WIFI everywhere, even though they want to go to the tea room to relax and have a cup of coffee, they don’t have to worry about not being able to work because there is no internet on the team room. They can drink coffee and work at the same time. It also humanizes the company. A humane workplace makes people more relaxed and helps companies retain talented people. As a result, employees will be much more productive. “Based on a study from the Economist Intelligence Unit surveying 1,865 employees, those who were connected to the internet on a mobile device contributed a 16% boost in productivity for that business, and a 18% boost in the actual creativity of employees when at work” ( Rossi, Wi-Fi and productivity: redefining the workplace). This data also shows that there is a significant relationship between WIFI and the productivity of the employees. The improvements in productivity have a positive impact on the workplace and enterprise development.
