We’ve launched the WiFi Map Academy, a brand new educational content series helping the WiFi Map community to navigate the Web3 aspects of our ecosystem.
The launch of $WIFI was the firing gun for our Web3 era, and the token generation event (TGE) on 7 April was followed just a few hours later with a launch on OKX and, later that day, the OKX DEX (decentralized exchange). The tokenized WiFi Map economy provides all users with access to an in-app wallet where they can store the $WIFI utility token, as well as continuing to purchase premium services such as offline maps, VPN protection and eSIM mobile data using US dollars and other fiat currencies. In the days that followed, $WIFI was added to a number of other high-profile exchanges, including Huobi, Gate.io and MEXC.
The WiFi Map community is internet-savvy, which isn’t a surprise given that getting online is at the core of our app. Web3 is, however, still a relatively young industry, and it’s no surprise that we’ve had lots of people asking us how to use $WIFI in the app and on exchanges. To answer as many of your requests as possible, we’ve put some simple guides together in one place. We hope that the launch of the Academy will also mean that future users of the WiFi Map app and the $WIFI token have all the information they need close at hand.
