Wild Adventure is a new publication on Medium that’s geared towards one thing — telling beautiful travel tales.

Wild Adventure was started by Kitiara Pascoe, a travel writer and author who loves a good adventure.

Wild Adventure is looking for:

• Stories from the road, the boat, the skis, the footpath…whatever mode of transport you love
• Narrative stories emphasising experience, emotions, connections, whimsy, landscapes and the natural world
• Stories from cities and cultures new to you — narrative only, no lists of things to do!
• Adventure sports that throw you into the wilds of the world
• Micro-travel writing — taking a tiny moment in your travels and bringing it out for us all to see
• Essays on what it means to travel and be out in the world
• Pieces on how travel has affected you
• Secret spaces — whether it’s a cafe on a mountain pass, a forgotten plaque on a Parisian side street or a village in the wilds of Brazil, show us its secret beauty
• Travel book reviews/lists that aren’t guidebooks
• Humour on the road

What Wild Adventure doesn’t cover

• Places you MUST go
• XYZ Things to do in Berlin etc
• Packing tips unless it’s for a genuinely weird adventure. Like snow kiting across Greenland
• How to get around XYZ place

Submitted stories should:

• Be unpublished drafts or have been published within the last few days
• Have at least one photograph, either your own or a royalty-free photo from somewhere lovely like Unplash. Please credit the photographer or yourself if you took it!
