Meet ROA the Animal Inspired Street Artist.

Chameleon in Djerbahood Tunisia by ROA.

If you’ve ever seen one of ROA’s street murals in real life, you’ll find yourself mesmerised more by the species in the artwork than the artist himself, and that is precisely the point.

A Banksy inspired enigma, ROA is a Belguim born street artist who has made it is his mission to stay anonymous, creating larger than life works of art that reflect nature in highly urban environments.

Inspired by music and art and with a strong interest in animals and rodents, ROA’s murals can be found across Europe as well as America, Asia, Australia, Africa and New Zealand. He uses black and white spray paint and paints on walls — typically creating murals of animals native to the country he is in. He hopes his work makes people stop and think about what else might live there or what is trying to survive despite the human race.

To track down ROA is an impossibility, the Belgium born artist does not do interviews nor public appearances. Yet his work is worth admiring and as that is all we can find out, we will leave you to enjoy some of his work here….
