The Amazon rainforest is earth’s largest rainforest. Also known as the earth’s green lungs.

Over an area of 5.500.500km2 (about 2.123.562 square miles) alot of trees and rivers. The main river is the Amazon river which is one of the longest rivers on the earth. Just being in second place after the Nile with a length of 6400km (about 3977 miles).

In that area there are of course a lot of different animals. Insects are the most present. A lot of different spiders, mosquito, ants and other insects live in the rainforest. When it comes to normal animals there are of course parrots, monkeys (like the Howler monkey), blue poison dart frogs and South American jaguars to name some.

What is the problem with the Amazon rainforest? Well it all began with the cutting of trees to make room for farmland. People of Brazil want to farm soja and other plants, but also make enough room for cows and other animals so they can mass produce. Cutting the trees has made a massive scar in the Amazon rainforest.

Nowadays there is a bigger problem with the Amazon rainforest. Brazil is burning it down to the ground with fire. That sounds absurd and it is.
With that they are destroying a lot of green, a lot of living space for animals and making noticeable damage to the rest of the earth.

We need to do something about that. Take a good look at our fundraiser in the Wildlife Discord so we can all together defend the Amazon rainforest from human destruction. If this article does not do it’s justice, please see the video below of the World Wildlife Foundation.
