This week, I wrote an op-ed for Wired detailing some of my problems with 360 video. The article stands on its own, and if you’ve been reading here or listening to me talk about VR on podcasts, you’d know that I’m bearish on 360 video.

It’s also worth noting that despite the (Wired-applied) headline, I’m a fan of Cardboard. I’m convinced that the existence of a $15 add-on for people’s phones will let more people try VR sooner, which will help drive early adoption of the tech.
