Some of our favourite interactive content on the web
Inspired by JustGiving’s excellent Powered by People and our own work with the RSA, we had a look around the web to find the best examples of brands, organisations and people making the most of the interactivity that the medium allows us.
Children’s Society London Marathon Team
Sticking with the running theme, the Children’s Society made a cracking piece of content showing their team’s progress around the London Marathon course in 2015. Feels like a fabulous way of standing out to try and generate entries for next year

Flight Radar 24
As a set of plane geeks we particularly love Flight Radar — and the accompanying app, which has a great augmented reality feature that allows you to point your camera and see what planes are in the sky.
YouDj
For those at home DJs who just can’t help themselves
The RSA
We worked with the RSA’s Inclusive Growth Commission to create a set of interactive maps, which would also work as infographics in their printed materials. The infographics and the commission were designed to help understand and identify practical ways to make local economies across the UK more economically inclusive and prosperous. The interactive maps show how the percentage of workers in a place that earn less than the living wage varies considerably across the UK and the percentage of economically inactive people that are too sick to work.
You can also see how they look in print in case you’re interested
The Inclusive Growth Commission have also written up a full version of their report on medium:
