PowerWin — a Blockchain based Lottery powered by WinChain OS

Powerwin is one of the first decentralized lotteries powered by the WinChain OS. It’s winning numbers are random numbers generated by Smart Contract.

The Smart Contract takes accounts info, transaction Hash values, block numbers, timestamps, and Bitcoin block hashes as inputs, and then uses the hash function to generate random numbers. The rewards will be transferred to the winners autonomously without human intervention. The source code of the Smart Contract is kept in the blockchain and every players can view or inspect its code.

To participate the Powerwin lottery, players will need to download and install the Luckywin app on their smartphone or tablet, and choose 6 numbers from 1 to 49 in your lottery ticket, alternatively players can select the “quick pick” button or shake their device to allow the random number generator to choose the numbers for you.

As an open playground for latest decentralized lotteries to be tested in a large scale, the Powerwin’s ticket is not up for sale. For those players who want to get access to the Powerwin ticket, they must complete any of the following simple tasks.

• Invite New Friends — You can invite new users with your own invitation code once you created your wallet, then you will get a free Powerwin Ticket everytime when your invited friend registers and completes his/her first Powerwin bet.
• My Frist Luckywin — As a new user, you will get a free Powerwin Ticket the first time when you hold 1 or more Luckwin tokens in your wallet.
• Be A Rich Man — You will get a free Powerwin Ticket the first time when you hold 10,000 or more Luckwin tokens in your wallet.
• Lucky Holders — As long as your balance continues to exceed 1 Luckywin, you will get a free Powerwin Ticket in each new term.

After that, players will be able to find their Powerwin Ticket from the Welfare Box, the ticket will be valid for 48 hours.

Powerwin’s jackpot is 32% of the Prize Pool divided between the owners of the tickets with 6 matching numbers. If there are no such tickets, the current jackpot is rolled over to the jackpot for the following drawing. The Prize Pool for each drawing is calculated based on the total prize minus the prizes for Division 3 and 4 for that drawing. It is distributed according to the following chart depending on how many numbers are matched.

In Division 1 and 2, the sum is divided by the number of winners in the category. If there are no winners, the sum is rolled over to the Jackpot pool for the next drawing.

In the case when the prizes for Division 3 and 4 exceeds 60% of the total prize, the prizes of the Division 3 and 4 will be reduced accordingly but the prize of the Division will be kept as 10 times of the prize of the Division 4.

Powerwin’s drawings are held on every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 8:00PM SGT (GMT+8). The time of the next drawing is indicated on the home page of the Luckywin app. Ticket sales end half hour before the drawing. After that time, any tickets purchased will be played in the following drawing.

After the drawing, the system automatically transfers the winnings in Luckywin token to the winners’ Luckywin wallets.
