Recently, CV Labs hosted the Blockchain Pitch & Networking Night event in Zug, Switzerland. Located in Switzerland’s famous Crypto Valley, CV Labs is home to a variety of promising blockchain related startups. WindMine was was invited to be part of this amazing event! Although WindMine did not win the pitch competition, we had a great time connecting with the community and getting feedback from industry professionals.

The event would cover a variety of different topics for discussion, such as the significance of Crypto Valley in distinct blockchain startups in the panel discussion titled ‘What can Crypto Valley do for me?’

Other highlights of the event include a competition between different tech startups for pitch battle, to win the award for Best Startup and an additional surprise from event organizers. Some of the prominent startups to attend the event include Voltex, Mycro, CogniPet, and of course, Windmine.

Crypto Valley and its Significance

Currently, Zug has been heralded as the fastest-growing community for tech startups in Europe. Compared to other cities, Zug’s Crypto Valley comes out on top when it comes to comparisons of an annual number of attendees at blockchain-related meet up events.

Initially, Zug was home to industries and agriculture but in recent years, the city developed a reputation as a hotspot for pharmaceutical corporations. The reason for the city’s attraction is more than its scenic view. It’s actually the favorable corporate tax rate. Corporations are charged only a rate of 14 percent in this region. This policy makes Zug a business-friendly city that promotes innovative growth.

Crypto Valley hosts many events to welcome crypto enthusiast, experts, and even people who have close to no clue what blockchain is all about. Crypto Valley has goals for sustainability and has also put a code of conduct in place for its members.

This calls for new startups to follow a certain code when going through the ICO period. Some of the easy rules of this code are that startups should keep communities and investors thoroughly informed of what progress they’re achieving and if there are any risks associated with their platform.

Considering how other nations are still fussing over crypto security instead of leading actionable change, it’s refreshing to see the Crypto Valley Association taking action and addressing the problem.

What Can Cryptovalley Offer a Blockchain Startup?

CV Labs Incubation

CV Labs offers an advanced Incubation Program to invest in startups with high potential. The program lasts around ten weeks, during which startups developers learn about technology trends and innovative theories from mentors and experts who started their own business.

Being coached by entrepreneurs, such as Mona El Isa and Stephan Karpischek, offers a unique opportunity to developers. Their mentors will guide them in making more progress while reflecting on it to make improvements, and ultimately delivering what they envisioned.

CV Labs’ Incubation Program focuses on helping startups establish a decentralized team, develop new strategies, and test their blockchain technology. In addition, mentors will also assist teams to raise funds, craft unique marketing approaches, and manage relations with their community.
