Game Preview: Chicago Blackhawks vs. San Jose Sharks

The Chicago Blackhawks are facing the San Jose Sharks tonight at the United Center for their final matchup of the 2017–18 season.

The lineup for tonight’s game matchup against the Sharks, has changed again. Victor Ejdsell who was called up from Rockford this past weekend is making his NHL debut with the Hawks tonight as the top center with Brandon Saad on the left, and Patrick Kane on the right. The 2nd line has been changed again with Vinnie Hinostroza and Alex DeBrincat switching wingers, and Nick Schmaltz being bumped down to the 2nd line. Tomas Jurco, Artem Anisimov and Andreas Martinsen is still on the 3rd line, and Patrick Sharp, David Kampf, and John Hayden remain the same on the 4th line.

It has been reported that John Hayden has suffered an upper body injury and is day-to-day and will not play tonight. Jonathan Toews is still not in the lineup tonight due to suffering an upper body injury late in the Colorado Avalanche game last week. It has also been reported that Matthew Highmore will take John Hayden’s spot on the 4th line tonight.

Another thing to point out with the Hawks, is that Dylan Sikura was at morning skate today, and his hopeful to make the team this coming Wednesday, and also to make his NHL debut Thursday against the Winnipeg Jets.

With the San Jose Sharks, it has been reported that forward Logan Couture has suffered an undisclosed injury last game, but he made the trip, and is expected to play tonight in Chicago. While the Sharks are still in the hunt for a playoff spot for the 2018 Stanley Cup playoffs.

Who to look for in the game tonight is Patrick Kane, Brandon Saad, Victor Ejdsell, and Alex DeBrincat. Victor Ejdsell will be making his NHL debut tonight at the United Center, and last game, Patrick Kane and Brandon Saad scored goals. Kane is leading the team in goals and points. Also to look for is Evander Kane, Logan Couture, and goaltender Martin Jones.

Another thing that is reported, is that Anton Forsberg is the starting goaltender for the Hawks, and Martin Jones is the starting goaltender for the San Jose Sharks.

Puck drop at the United Center is at 7:30 Central, starting with the pre game show on NBC Sports Chicago at 6:30 Central.
