Game Preview: Chicago Blackhawks vs. Winnipeg Jets

Tonight is going to be a special night at the United Center, as Brent Seabrook will play his 1,000th game in his career as a Chicago Blackhawk, and is only the 5th Blackhawk in franchise history to reach 1,000 games.

As for the lineup for the Hawks for tonight’s game against the central divisional rival the Winnipeg Jets, as of now, Nick Schmaltz has been bumped back to being the top line’s center with Brandon Saad as the left winger, and Patrick Kane as the right winger. Dylan Sikura signed with the Hawks earlier this week, and is making tonight his first NHL debut as a Blackhawk. He is on the 2nd line with left winger Alex DeBrincat, and centering will be Victor Ejdsell. Tomas Jurco as the left winger will be with Artem Anisimov who is centering the 3rd line with Andreas Martinsen as the right winger. Patrick Sharp has been moved down to the 4th line with David Kampf centering, and Vinnie Hinostroza has been also moved down to the 4th line as a line right winger.

It has been reported according to Joel Quenneville, that Jonathan Toews, and John Hayden have been making improvements with their injuries they have suffered the last week. They should be back on the ice soon.

After clinching their Stanley Cup playoff spot this past week, the Winnipeg Jets are ready for the central divisional rival the Chicago Blackhawks. With their starting top line Kyle Connor as the left winger, Mark Scheifele centering, and Blake Wheeler as the right winger. It has been reported that Eric Comrie will be the starting goaltender for the Jets tonight at the United Center.

What to look for in tonight’s game is Alex DeBrincat who scored his 26th goal of the season against the San Jose Sharks Monday night, Dylan Sikura will make his first NHL debut tonight, and Brandon Tanev who scored his first career hat-trick against the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night.

It also has been reported that Anton Forsberg will be the starting goaltender for the Hawks tonight at the United Center.

Puck drop is at 7:30 PM Central, and the pre game show on NBC Sports Chicago will be at 6:30 PM Central.
