Popular Wines From Napa Valley

Napa Valley, the most well-known wine region in the United States, produces some of the finest wines in the world. I sampled two wines from a popular place there called Flora Springs Winery. I wanted to give people an idea of what the wines are like, what makes them special, and what would pair well with them.

Flora Springs Winery dates back to 1978; however, the history behind the wines goes back to the late 1800s when grapes were first planted on the property. Today the company prides itself on artisanal winemaking, innovation, and community values. Here are some quick facts about the venue:

  • The winery is named after its matriarch and muse, Flora Komes.
  • Flora and her husband Jerry purchased the old Rennie Brothers property in 1977. The property included 325 acres of land and 60 acres of vineyard.
  • Flora’s children established the winery and worked hard to cultivate the wine. Over the decades, different family members have been involved in the business.
