Shopping for loved ones doesn’t have to be a last-minute scramble; in fact, it can even be a one-stop shop if your life is full of people who love wine. When it comes to my own shopping, I can easily find beverage-related gifts for just about everyone in my life. No matter who you’re shopping for this holiday season, I have (boozy) ideas for all your loved ones, including your eccentric brother-in-law.

For the Enthusiast: Subscription to a Wine Magazine

If your enthusiast is just getting into wine, a magazine subscription is a great option. There are many different themes from which to choose, depending on how your enthusiast interacts with wine. Do they want detailed reports on the latest vintages and trends? “Wine Spectator” is a classic. More into wine and travel, or wine and food? Check out “Wine Enthusiast.” If your enthusiast likes to imbibe with wine as well as other beverages, consider “Wine & Spirits” for a good all-around read.

For the In-laws: Crystal Decanter and a Set of Wine Glasses

Impress your in-laws with a crystal decanter and set of wine glasses that they can pull out during elegant evenings in. They’ll always think of you in the most classy of situations, which can never be bad thing.

For the Nerd: Wine Grape Varietal Poster

For the wine friend who has everything, gift an oversized wall poster of the world’s great grape varietals (e.g., De Long’s Wine Grape Varietal Poster). It makes the perfect study or office decor as well as a great conversation piece when having guests over.

For the Wanna-be Mixologist: Bottle of Sparkling Wine and Hibiscus Flowers in Syrup

DCanter’s delicious hibiscus flowers in syrup add the perfect gourmet touch to cocktails. I love using it to add soft sweetness, floral notes, and a beautiful purple hue to sparkling wine cocktails, making them even more festive. This wine-and-flowers combo would make a perfect and thoughtful gift for your friend who loves quirky cocktails.

For the Significant Other: A Month of Concierge by DCanter

Concierge by DCanter

Give the gift of a personal wine shopper! Concierge by DCanter is a wine selection and delivery service that matches individuals with a real-life wine concierge who will handpick wines based on their taste preferences and within their budget. Choose to gift six or twelve bottles of hand-selected wines for your significant other, set your budget, and the wine concierge will do the rest! Your significant other will receive a message from the wine concierge, who will learn more about your partner’s taste preferences. The case of wines will be delivered right to your partner’s door, complete with detailed tasting notes and pairing ideas. This gift is truly a win-win: You will be able to share in his or her wine experience, hopefully with lots of good sipping and good conversation. Contact hello@dcanterwines.com to give your gift of a wine concierge!

For the Foodie: A Bottle of Wine and a Cookbook

Do you have a friend who always wants to go out for tapas? How about your family member who recently took an Italian vacation and now is a self-proclaimed expert on all-foods Italian? Choose a bottle of wine from a specific region that’s meaningful to your foodie friend and a corresponding cookbook — perhaps a bottle of Spanish Tempranillo or bubbly Cava alongside a tapas cookbook, or a bottle of Barolo with a cookbook of rustic, homestyle Italian recipes.

For the Snoot: Dual-Zone Wine Fridge

Actually quite affordable and even small-apartment friendly, these fridges are perfect for the person in your life whose counter and fridge space is usually taken up by wine bottles. Your wine snoot will never fret about if the wines are at the proper serving temperature again.

For Yourself: A Bottle of Delicious Wine to Celebrate Finishing Holiday Shopping
