Bodega: Folie A Deux
Goods: Red Blend
Locale: California
Booze Factor: 13.5%
Fare: $6.99
Whereabouts: Costco
Yea or Nay:

Scoop: This red blend is a mix of 48% Zinfandel, 37% Merlot, and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. While the winery is in St. Helena, CA, the grapes are sourced from throughout California hence the “California Red Wine” designation.

This wine has great color and due to almost half of it being made up of Zinfandel, it’s got a nice Zin nose to it. Lots of berry fruit flavors. It’s a great wine for any occasion and I love that it’s only $7 a bottle. The Merlot give this wine a smooth and easy finish so I’d even pressure white-only drinkers to give it a try.

Folie A Deux has a full series of Menage A Trois wines and I’m going to start keeping an eye out for some of their other blends because they did a nice job on this one.
