Announcing our Series A investment in Nightfall

Our team is excited to announce our investment in Nightfall. We first started working with Isaac and Rohan in late 2017 through our WIN Labs Program, where we partner with founders we love to explore ideas for new companies.

Isaac, Rohan and team have built a control plane for cloud data to enable customers to discover, classify, manage and protect sensitive information (e.g. PII) across silos and applications. The product is beautiful and powerful, and we believe in their central thesis that the flood and distribution of data across cloud applications and systems requires a new approach to DLP, one that is automated and built upon a cloud-native foundation.

We are thrilled to be investing alongside Bain Capital Ventures and Venrock and look forward to helping Isaac and Rohan build a meaningful and impactful company in the security space. While we rarely invest for the first time in a Series A, we were very encouraged by the product that the Nightfall team has built and the traction that they have achieved to date. We love that we have the chance to partner again (more formally this time!) with two founders who left an impression on us when they were first thinking through different ideas.
