Jackie Chan
A man of many jobs
Jackie Chan (born Chan Kong-sang in 1954) began his film career as a stuntman in the Bruce Lee films Fist of Fury (1972) and Enter the Dragon (1973). In of his interviews he said that the iconic personality of Bruce Lee is too strong to be competing against in the Western cinema industry so he will be the opposite of Bruce in martial arts and acting sense: funny and lyrical, almost like a Hong Kong version of Charlie Chaplin. Jackie Chan has been in a variety of roles: actor, action choreographer, comedian, director, producer, martial artist, screenwriter, entrepreneur, singer, and stunt performer. He is one of the few actors to have performed all of his film stunts. Jackie Chan has been acting since the 1960s and has appeared in over 150 films and has received stars on the Hong Kong Avenue of Stars and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. As a cultural icon, Jackie has been referenced in various pop songs, cartoons, and video games. An operatically trained vocalist, Jackie is also a Cantopop and Mandopop star, having released a number of albums and sung many of the theme songs for the films in which he has starred.
