Today, we’ve completely redone Wing Assistant. We can’t wait to show you everything we’ve been able to squeeze into this latest update!

1. Modern Chat!

We’ve modernized Wing’s chat interface to look much more like a chat interface you’re more likely to use in other apps, like Messenger, WhatsApp, or iMessage.

Take a look at a preview of Wing’s new chat interface on the left!

2. Chat options!

We’ve also given you complete control over the experience. Customize the size of the chat, the way you send messages, and the texture of the interface!

We’ll be adding more chat themes & textures later in the year!

3. Tasks are becoming more central

The Wing Tasks app has primarily centered around letting you know what your assistant is working on.

However, we learned that clients are interested in more control over Wing’s tasks app.

Today, tasks are becoming more central to the experience. Very soon, we’ll be giving users the ability to create new tasks in the app.

In addition, kanban won’t be the only way to visualize tasks anymore! We’re also releasing List view.

4. Enhanced notification reliability

We’ve replaced all of our notification technologies with the industry-leading OneSignal, a notification system that’s much more reliable. Never miss a message from your assistant again!

5. Relay feedback to our team instantaneously

If you ever have feedback to give to Wing, just tap Assistant Feedback above Chat, and enter your feedback right there.

When you tap Send, this feedback gets sent directly to your assistant’s supervisor and the assistant quality team. Typically, our team will begin to investigate & implement your feedback in about 3–5 minutes.

6. Quick Help

We’ve put together Quick Help, a mini-app in Wing that helps you get, well, quick help!

From topics relating to setting up Wing’s SMS interface, speaking to your Account Manager, or getting Wing apps for various platforms — Wing’s Quick Help helps you get answers to the most common questions in just a few clicks.

7. Referral Program

Wing’s referral program launches today as well! Invite someone to Wing, and get $100 in Wing subscription credit or an Amazon gift card if they get started with us.

There aren’t any limits to our referral program, so you can claim as much as you’d like!

If you’re interested in a more formal referral program that’s more of a long-term partnership, we’ve also launched our Affiliate Program. Learn more about our affiliate program by contacting support@getwingapp.com.

8. More products!

Wing isn’t just redesigning our product, but our entire company.

We’re not just an assistant, but an entire platform of managed business services. A one-stop shop for multiple services!

The focus: recurring work that’s common across all companies.

9. Desktop apps!

Wing is launching apps for the desktop — on both Mac and Windows. The apps will be released in a week!

Built with cutting-edge desktop application frameworks, Wing Desktop is a lightweight application was designed to mimic the web interface.

10. New mobile apps!

Releasing soon, Wing is releasing an enhanced, native experience on mobile for both Android & iOS.

Our prior mobile app wasn’t the easiest to use, as it was a hybrid application that leveraged the browser, as opposed to the native operating system.

Our latest app is build using native components, and is much faster, more responsive, and has more features that weren’t possible on our old app: for example — speak your tasks, attach files, and have the app speak out responses.

In addition, the app also features a fully functional version of Wing’s tasks app, letting you create & reply to tasks from the tasks tab in the app.

11. What’s new with Wing

As we grow, we’ll be continually adding more features & products to Wing. If you’re curious, we’d love for you to be able to find out what’s going on!

In that spirit, we’re adding a new tab called What’s new with Wing.

You’ll be able to see when we add new features and products, and if you’d like to add more services to your account, you’ll be able to do it with just a few clicks!

12. A redesigned interface for Bookmarks

Bookmarks are now Saved. The reason for the terminology switch is that we’re giving you the ability to save different types of content — from messages, to images, to tasks, and more!

13. Work Preferences

We’re adding Work Preferences to your profile, so you’re better able to inform us about how you like to work. As a result of giving us this information, our assistant team is better equipped to help!

14. More ways to contact Support

Wing Support is pretty good, and we want to make sure you’re able to access it no matter your preferred medium of communication. We’ve expanded our knowledge base to cover a variety of topics, as well as improved Live Chat, and added the option to send us an email. We’ll reply to Live Chat in less than 5 minutes (1-minute average), and email within 24 hours (3-hour average).

15. More ways to contact your Account Manager

We’re also creating a new tab in Wing that lets you schedule time on your Account Manager’s calendar without having to write an email. In Quick Help, you can just tap “I’d like to speak to my Account Manager”, and book time on your Account Manager’s calendar in just a few clicks.

16. Enhanced permission management

Wing is upgrading permission management! We support companies of all sizes, from mom & pop small business, to large public companies, to that end — we needed to overhaul permission management!

From just “Basic” and “Administrator” on Wing Assistant, we now have “Basic” and “Administrator” accesses to individual products, as well as “Owner” and “Super Owner” roles for global management. Owners have access to global access management, as well as global account settings, while Super Owners own the organization. We know that this can sometimes get confusing, so we’ve created a video to explain. Check out the Users page for more information.
