What’s New With Wing — Our App Revamp, Released!

At Wing, we’re on a constant mission to help you do more of what matters most. We’re always improving how we deliver our products & services, and today, we’ve made some updates to the Wing app.

1. Explore

Step 1: See what tasks VAs can do for you

We’ve made it easier to figure out what to offload to your Wing virtual assistant. The first screen you’ll see under “Tasks VA can do for you” is a list of skills and to-do’s your VA can take on. Can’t find what you want to assign? No worries — just proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Request a task

If you’re unable to find the type of task you want to assign, you can request a task and we will get back to you to help you offset this to your assistant, or to potentially find you a new assistant to take on the job you need to get done. To do this, scroll down to the bottom of the Tasks list and click on Request Task. That should be on the bottom right-hand corner of your app.

Step 3: Check out the Wing Product and Services tab

If you have recurring specialized tasks, we’ve found that clients have the best experiences when they add a new VA to their team, especially for those tasks. You might find the assistant you need in the “WIng Products and Services” tab.

It shows an overview of what each service contains, as well as inclusions and a price range for each plan. If the information you’re looking for isn’t listed in the tab, you can always proceed to Step 4!

Step 4: Chat with us for more information

If you’d like to explore in detail what a service provides or what skills a VA has, you can chat with us — simply click on the ‘Speak to us’ button and type away. Our team is always ready to assist you — we respond typically within 1 minute or less!

2. Upgrade

So you’ve decided that you need to upgrade your team by adding a new team member! We’ve made upgrading your existing plan incredibly easy; you can get that sorted in 4 quick steps:

Step 1: Click on the Upgrade button

Your app sidebar will have a blue tab that says Upgrade under the navigation. It should be under the Support tab. Clicking on it will take you to a screen.

Step 2- Add the products that you need

The Upgrade screen will prompt you to Add an Assistant to Wing. If you’d like to add more team members, or team members in different skill areas — simply click on “Add Product” and select the type of assistants you’d like to get.

The screen will also prompt you to add more details, like the number of hours a day you’d like your assistant to work. Once that’s sorted out, you can go to Step 3.

Step 3 — Tell us more about what you’re looking for

Provide relevant details for getting started with Wing, including your availability, the start day you’d like to have, and other details needed for setting up the team.

Step 4 — Confirm your payment

Choose the appropriate payment method to complete your order, review your information for correctness, and proceed with the payment. And you’re done — you’ll be ready with your new assistant in no time!

3. Revamped Add Task

Organize your VAs activity, manage projects effectively, and save time using the all-new Recurring Task feature. It enables users to automate task creation for daily, weekly, or monthly recurring activities at once.

A couple of other new things are that you can now attach files to a task and label it as high, medium, or low priority, allowing you to better define your VA’s work processes.

You’ll see the cards on your Kanban board will now have a flag corresponding to the priority level of the task.

4. Wink

Onboarding, briefing, and training your VAs is now easier than ever! We’ve created a new app, Wink, a video recording tool that helps you record onboarding, briefing, and training content for your Wing assistant, and your entire business — if you’d like.

Videos recorded via Wink will be automatically stored in the Wink Videos section of your Assistant app. Here’s how to add a Wink video:

Step 1: Click on + New Video in the wink videos tab.

Step 2: Select the window or screen you want to record

Step 3: Start Recording!

We’ve put in loads of amazing features to help you annotate on screen, use pointers, and overlay your camera video if you’d like.

Check the Videos section in the Wing app to see your Wink Video Library.

5. Notifications

We’ve also completely overhauled notifications, giving you a notification center with a list of notifications, and improved notification reliability even further on both mobile and desktop.

6. A lot more fixes!

Finally, we’ve also fixed some bugs and made updates. First, our Slack bot has had a lot of key updates, and — it is now working reliably. We’ve also released an all-new mobile app with chat, tasks, uploads, and credentials, along with mobile notifications. Now, it’s much easier to take your work wherever you are.

That’s it for this update — we’ll keep you posted on new developments and improvements as they occur!
