WINGS at Gamescom 2024| Hosting Events, Presenting the WINGS Award, and Many Great Chats
Gamescom 2024 was an incredible experience for WINGS! Read on to learn about all we got up to at Gamescom this year.
Breakfast & Lunch with WINGS
We hosted two special networking events — breakfast on Friday and lunch on Wednesday — at Heimisch Café, bringing together women and gender-marginalised professionals from across the games industry. Audrey and Astrid from WINGS were there hosting and note that both the breakfast and lunch events were filled with meaningful conversations & delicious food! We were so excited to see so many familiar and new faces and to hear about the incredible projects everyone is working on. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to connect with us! WINGS Award at the Indie Arena Booth
One of the highlights of our Gamescom experience was presenting the WINGS Award at the Indie Arena Booth.
Fowl Damage by Red Nexus Games Inc. took home the prize this year, standing out among so many amazing games showcased at the booth. It was truly inspiring to see the creativity and innovation on display, and we’re proud to recognize such talented developers with the WINGS Award this year.
Looking ahead, WINGS will be at Melbourne Games Week and SXSW. Astrid will be traveling to Australia to meet developers, give talks, and participate in some awesome panels.
